First Night Knoxville - Ring in New Year’s Downtown
Date: 12/28/2009First Night Knoxville is the New Year’s Eve Celebration of the Arts in Downtown Knoxville. The event is family friendly and alcohol-free, ringing in the New Year with theatre companies, circus performers, bands from all over the Southeast, visual artists and more.
The First Night Admission Button is your ticket to 13 locations with 15 venues of entertainment with more than 200 artists throughout downtown. Starting at about 7 p.m., each venue will feature a schedule of performances that will continue up until 11:30 p.m. Then, it is back to Market Square for the countdown, ball drop and fireworks to ring in the New Year.
Buttons can be purchased for $10 until December 30, 2009, at all Pilot Convenience Store locations, Market Square District shops, or online at http://www.firstnightknoxville.com through PayPal. Buttons will be available the day of the event for $15 each. Children ages 6 and under are admitted free and do not require a button.
