New Parking Website and Parking App

As a reminder, the Central Business Improvement District launched a new website to help people find parking in downtown Knoxville. The website http://www.parkdowntownknoxville.com  is geared to help anyone – residents, commuters, downtown employees, and visitors – better understand where and how to park downtown. The site contains a database of parking locations, as well as relevant information about on-street parking, residential parking passes, information for bicyclists, and more..

Additionally, the site explains how to download the free Parker app. The app, developed by Streetline, is available to iPhone users and select Android phones. The CBID entered all of its public parking locations into the Parker database so users would have more guidance when trying to park downtown.

“With more and more people coming downtown, the CBID is committed to helping improve the parking in downtown” said Michele Hummel, CBID Director. “This includes letting the public know about all the available parking options, and helping them find their way there.”

The database will be updated quarterly with the help of the downtown parking companies to remain current and relevant.
