Sundown in the City Announces 2010 Dates

Sundown in the City launches for the 2010 season on April 22! The series will be held on five alternating Thursdays; official dates are April 22, May 6 and 20, June 3 and 17.

“We’re proud of Sundown’s success and excited about its future,” says AC Entertainment president Ashley Capps. “As downtown evolves, we’re working on evolving Sundown as well.”

The City of Knoxville and Market Square District Association have been strong partners in Sundown’s progress.

“Sundown has been a major economic driver to the revitalization of downtown Knoxville,” says Director of City Events Mickey Mallonee.

“Downtown Knoxville is a very different place than it was when Sundown first started,” adds John Craig, president of the Market Square District Association. “Now, on any night of the week, hundreds of people come downtown to eat, shop and be entertained. Sundown was a catalyst for that.”
