5/16 The Prince & The Pauper - 7 PM at The Emporium Center for Arts & Culture. Children's Theatre of Knoxville presents this play which updates Mark Twain's "The Prince & The Pauper" to 1834, on the day before 16-year-old Princess Victoria of Kent is to be crowned Queen. When the Princess switches clothes with a lookalike poor country girl, the King accidentally locks the wrong girl outside the Palace gates! Even with the help of the poor girl's father and a clever boy detective, will the Crown of England be placed upon the wrong's girl's head? Acted by 5 children ages 11-15, and aided by three adults, this charming drama teaches history just as it sparkles with the humor of Mark Twain.

In 1995, PUSA hit it big with the radio and video hit "Lump," followed by "Kitty" in the fall and "Peaches" in 1996. After a break-up in 1998 and a brief reformation in 2000, PUSA is back in 2008 with These are the Good Times People, a collection of songs that deliver great guitar licks and catchy lyrics.

6/7 Artists on Location-Knoxville Museum of Art - One day of open air paintings, June 7, at various locations around town. The event showcases local and regional artists as they work outdoors. After creating art, artists will bring their work to the Knoxville Museum of Art (KMA) to be sold during a picnic and reception, June 8, 2008, 1-4 pm.

As a kid, Regan was a huge fan of Johnny Carson, but his fascination with stand-up was really inspired by Steve Martin’s silly but smart comedic genius. During the 1980s, Regan found plenty of work in the booming comedy world; he won $10,000 in the K-Rock - Miller Lite Funniest Person in New York contest in 1998. From there, Regan moved to headliner status and began nailing down national TV appearances: MTV Half-Hour Comedy Hour, Arsenio Hall, and The Tonight Show. In the years since, Regan has built one of he top careers in comedy, with his own specials on Showtime and Comedy Central and regular opening gigs in the nation’s best theaters for Jerry Seinfeld. Regan’s die-hard fans continue to fill comedy clubs throughout the country.

Born Clarence Greenwood, Citizen Cope is a self-taught musician who grew up grooving to Sly Stone, Willie Nelson, Al Green and whatever else he could sneak from his big sister’s vinyl stash. Cope challenges classification because his influences are so broad, from swampy blues to urban hip-hop and rural roots rock.

The Louisiana soul singer made his mark in 2004 with his debut record Carencro and the radio hit single "Home," which introduced listeners to Broussard's impossibly deep and soulful voice. (Trivia: In "Home," Broussard name checks his friend and fellow Sundown performer Citizen Cope.) Recently, Broussard was featured in a commercial for the NBA singing "Must Be the Water," the title track of his new EP.

A producer insisted that for such a big appearance the artist should perform with a vocalist, but Kenny wanted establish himself with an instrumental. The debate continued up until show time when Kenny launched into “Songbird,” the landmark recording from his fourth album, Duotones. Kenny went on to become a multi-platinum sensation, collaborating with Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Natalie Cole and Frank Sinatra. His next studio albums, Silhouette and Breathless were enormously successful, the latter becoming the biggest selling instrumental record in U.S. history. The album featured the Grammy-winning single, “Forever in Love.” Kenny G’s latest release is his first Latin Jazz album, Rhythm & Romance, a rich tapestry of samba and salsa, ballads and bossa nova, all of which are held together by beautiful melodies of Kenny G’s signature sound.

9/23 Nightwish - Valarium, 9:00 PM, 522-2820, Symphonic metal band, Nightwish formed in Kitee, Finland, by keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen. Initially attempting to create acoustic music, he recruited trained opera vocalist Tarja Turunen, but soon added full metal-band instrumentation with guitarist Emppo Vuorinen, bassist Sami Vänskä, and drummer Jukka Nevalainen. The band's demos landed them a contract with the Finnish label Spinefarm, which released their debut album Angels Fall First in late 1997. In 2005, Anette Olzon replaced vocalist Tarja Turunen, and by 2007, a new era began for the band with the release of their sixth full-length studio album, Dark Passion Play.
