Austin-East Magnet High School was originally built in 1951 and contains 98 classrooms, a parenting center, building trades center and an ROTC program. Austin-East High School is located in the eastern section of Knoxville .


Green Magnet Math and Science Academy

Green Magnet Math and Science Academy was originally built in 1950, and an annex was added in 1994. The building contains 47 classrooms, a greenhouse, science, math and computer labs, media center, conference room and office complex.


Sequoyah Elementary School

Sequoyah Elementary School was built in 1930 with additions and renovations made during the 1950s and 1960s. The facility consists of 20 classrooms, gym/auditorium and cafeteria. An addition with six new classrooms and a new cafeteria/kitchen opened in Fall 1998. In August 2003, a neighborhood-walking path, extending from the school to the public library, was added to the grounds by Knox County Parks and Recreation.


South Doyle Middle School

South-Doyle Middle School was formed in August 1991 when two middle schools, South Middle School and Doyle Middle School, were consolidated and moved into the former campus of South-Young High School. A million dollar renovation project during the 1991-92 school year converted the former high school into a middle school. Computer labs, two art rooms, a technology lab, a broadcasting TV studio and 18 classrooms were added to the school.

Vine Middle Magnet Performing Arts Academy

The present Vine Middle location was built in 1951 and renovated in 1988 and 1996-97. The facility contains 30 classrooms, two dance studios, VoTech Lab, two science labs, computer lab, administrative suite, auditorium, cafeteria, clinic, gymnasium, library, teacher lounges and conference rooms. Seven classrooms are utilized in the Langland Building, which is located behind the main building. Vine Middle became Vine Middle Magnet Performing Arts and Sciences Academy in the 1996-97 school year.
