  • Take a stroll in Krutch Park...or just sit awhile and people watch. It's a quiet little park in the heart of downtown and home to a rotating outdoor art exhibit.

  • Spend the day at an outdoor market. The Market Square Farmers' Market and the Old City Market are great ways to get outdoors.

  • Ride the downtown trolley. It's fun and it's FREE. From UT campus to Old City and all places in between. The Orange Line connects UT with Downtown Knoxville and runs about every 15 minutes!

  • Play for a day in Worlds Fair Park! Take advantage of the 15 acres of green space just a walk from UT campus. And it’s all under the shadows of a 26-story, gold disco ball in the sky.

  • Catch a live radio broadcast six days a week. The WDVX Blue Plate Special provides live lunchtime-hour music featuring performers from all over the world. You can find it at noon at the WDVX studio in the Knoxville Visitor Center. It’s free.

  • Ride your bike to the bicycle arch! You can walk or ride too! Don't forget your phone...you'll definitely want a pic.

  • It’s not your normal downtown alley. Explore the art murals in Strong Alley (between Market Square and Gay St. and you can enter from Union Ave or Wall Ave). It’s the most photographed spot downtown.
