Pumpkin Perfection

Food & Drink Shop

It's Fall, which means our obsession with pumpkin spice is in full swing. 🎃 Downtown businesses have brought creative takes on the famous squash, from original pumpkin spice lattes to pumpkin ice creams, crêpes, and even candles. You're in for a treat!

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Let's begin with the coffee that started it all – the pumpkin spice latte. The baristas at Mahalo Coffee Roasters whip up a mean PSL, and although it doesn't come in a pumpkin (points for creativity), it tastes like this picture. Warm, creamy, rich. Explore all of Downtown's coffee shops that have their own take on this famous Fall latte.

Pumpkin Sweet Foam Cold Brew

Awaken Coffee is a whole experience during Fall, serving up "chumpkin" chais, white chocolate mochas with pumpkin, and so much more. They just introduced pumpkin sweet foam to add to their cold brews for those that love iced coffee all year round. For a hot drink, cozy up with their Downtown Spice, a vanilla and pumpkin latte topped with toasted marshmallows.

Milkshakes & Ice Cream

Cruze Farm whips up a deliciously creamy pumpkin milkshake during the season, which tastes just like Fall! Plus, they swirl their homemade pumpkin ice cream with brown butter ice cream in a waffle cone for an indulgent treat. Just down the street, Kilwins also whips up pumpkin pie and apple pie ice cream!

Pumpkin Spice Popcorn

Add a dollop of whipped cream to each bite of Proper Popcorn's pumpkin spice popcorn, and you'll think you died and went straight to pumpkin pie heaven. Their vanilla popcorn is coated in white chocolate and pumpkin spice for that Fall flavor you know and love. They also carry caramel apple popcorn, which is a mix of candied green apple and caramel popcorn.

Pumpkin Praline Beignets⁣

Ruby Sunshine boasts these decadent beignets with pumpkin pie cheesecake filling, drowning in praline sauce, and topped with pecans and whipped cream. Sinful! You can also order the special as French toast, which comes with Applewood smoked bacon. Thank you, Fall.

Pumpkin CrĂȘpes

The French Market boasts a seasonal pumpkin chiffon crêpe with caramel, graham crackers, almonds, and whipped cream. It's silky smooth and has everything we love in one perfect brunch package.

Pumpkin Walnut Fudge

We'll give Kilwins this: we've never seen pumpkin fudge before! This sugary sweet confection made of sugar, butter, milk, pumpkin, and walnuts is hand-crafted on a marble table in-store. Just step inside for a look at the fudge making process and a bite of something delicious.

Pumpkin Muffins

Lunchbox bakes up dozens and dozens of their classic pumpkin muffin every Fall, and people can't get enough. They are warm, moist, and have just the right amount of sweetness. These muffins will make you all cozy inside!

Pumpkin Glass Art

Every year, Pretentious Glass Co's artists create dazzling glass pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Start your collection this year and watch your pumpkin patch grow every year with a new beautiful piece of art. They are handblown in-store in the Old City, so you can watch the process from start to finish.

Pumpkin Spice Pancakes

For a limited time every year, Pete's serves up breakfast specials, like pumpkin spice pancakes, waffles, and French toast covered in powdered sugar and syrup. What could be better than breakfast classics with a Fall twist?

Pumpkin Doughnuts

Status Dough bakes several Fall classics, including a pumpkin spice old fashioned, apple cider doughnuts, and pumpkin pie doughnuts with a creamy topping. Pair your doughnut with a PSL, and you're in for a pumpkin overload!

KoPita's Vegetarian Specials

For a savory option, keep a watch on KoPita's menu for vegetarian specials featuring Fall squash. One dinner they whipped up was a couscous platter with steamed squash, pumpkin, cabbage, chickpeas and carrots sprinkled with cilantro and cinnamon. Delish!

Pumpkin Soup

Another savory option that is so yummy! The Tomato Head will serve up pumpkin soup with sage goat cheese cream during the month of October. Get it while you can! It'll warm your soul.

Sugar Scrub & Candles

When your daily pumpkin spice latte habit just isn't enough, indulge in pumpkin spice sugar scrub and pumpkin crème brûlée candles found at Knox Soap! The locally-made sugar scrub mixes cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, and clove with sugar, oils, and aloe for a nourishing touch. The pumpkin candles are delightful, as are the cinnamon toast, mulled cider, and cranberry orange candles.

Plush Pumpkin Decor

You can find these adorable handcrafted pumpkins at Ojas Beauty! They are handmade from antique quilts and vintage chenille by owner Karla's mother-in-law, Debbie and sister Cheri, so it's all in the fam. Your Fall decor isn't complete without one of these beauties. Come see them in person!

Pumpkin Pie Latte

We started with pumpkin spice, we're ending with pumpkin pie! K Brew boasts a delicious latte with real pumpkin, topped with whipped cream, and dusted with spices. Grab one to-go, or sit down and enjoy it in a mug in the lobby of Embassy Suites.
