See the Winter Mural | 2025-2026
The Downtown Knoxville mural signals a change in the season, and we're so excited to bring you the latest edition!
Artist Megan Lingerfelt finds inspiration in nature, and this season's features gorgeous blues and greens—and some snow! ❄️
Megan says, “I’ve wanted to paint this scene for a long time. It blends memories and photos from my first walks through Krutch Park after moving to Knoxville. There’s a quiet peace in the stillness of winter; the snowy rocks around calm water remind me to slow down, breathe, and plan for the year ahead.“
The 2024-2025 winter mural—part of Dogwood Arts' Art in Public Places Mural Program—is the 25th in the series by Megan.

The seasonal mural serves as a fun photo backdrop for both residents and visitors celebrating the changing seasons. It's located at the south end of Strong Alley, between Market Square and Gay Street (near local-favorite Coffee & Chocolate).
Grab your photo with this mural the next time you’re in Downtown Knoxville and share on social media using the hashtag #LoveDowntownKnox. Check out a few of our past seasonal murals in the gallery below.
See you downtown for a busy winter! 😎
