Holiday Cocktails on The Peppermint Trail

Whether you're on Santa's Naughty or Nice List, there's a holiday cocktail on the Peppermint Trail just for you. So, come downtown this holiday season from November 27 to January 3 to savor the season with a peppermint, or other holiday-flavored, libation! Here are a dozen+ must-try holiday cocktails on the trail.

Kefi's White Chocolate Peppermint Martini

If anyone can do a holiday cocktail, it's Kefi! After taking a walk through the festive peppermint lampposts in the Old City, you'll be in the mood for their White Chocolate Peppermint Martini, a gorgeous holiday drink that will lift your holiday spirits.

Blackhorse's Winter Cocktail Menu

We can't think of a better way to festively celebrate the holidays than at Blackhorse! Whatever the weather, you’ll find the perfect holiday cocktail that's just as tasty as it it pretty. Maple Hall's Ginger Snap

Bowling ball in one hand, winter cocktail in the other! Maple Hall is serving up three winter cocktails sure to be crowd pleasers – and our favorite is the spiced Ginger Snap. Boasting Rum, House-Made Gingerbread Syrup, Fresh Orange Juice, Cruze Farm Whole Milk, and topped with an adorable gingerbread man, this cocktail is a strike. After bowling downstairs, head up to the Maple Room to try their other two cocktails, the Tullahoma Winteraide and Peppermint Dude next to their Christmas tree!

Sapphire's Snowball Old Fashioned

For the holiday season, Sapphire transforms into Miracle, a beloved Christmas-themed pop-up bar boasting nostalgic holiday decor – and of course, a holiday cocktail menu to match. Their signature cocktail will be the Snowball Old-Fashioned with Rye Whiskey, Gingerbread Syrup, Angostura Bitters, Wormwood Bitters. The Lost Tavern's ClausMopolitian

Head over to the Lost Tavern, Knoxville's Noir Bar, after a day of holiday shopping to drink a well-deserved and cleverly named ClausMopolitian, their festive take on the popular cosmo. It's an exceptional choice for holiday merrymaking! And it's also available for takeout!

Radius Rooftop Lounge's Peppermintini

Visit the Radius Rooftop Lounge at the top of Embassy Suites for a Peppermintini and a view! This perfectly sweetened cocktail includes vanilla vodka, chocolate liqueur, Bailey’s, peppermint schnapps, and a candy cane garnish. They also have a long menu of holiday drinks featuring apple cider, cranberry, eggnog, and more holiday flavors. From the rooftop, you just might spot Santa and his sleigh flying high over Downtown Knoxville. 

Balter's The Grinch

Looking oh-so festive and tasting just the same, The Grinch at Balter Beerworks is their take on the grasshopper cocktail, a sweet, mint-flavored, after-dinner drink. Or enjoy a Winter Warmer, a dark ale spiced with juniper berries, ginger, star anise, and orange peel, fireside this season!

Knox Whiskey Works' Holiday-Inspired Cocktails

Stop by Knox Whiskey Works for some Holiday-Inspired Cocktails from their tasting room. They have something for every palette, from a sweet peppermint cocktail topped with Christmas sprinkles to a fruity, tart cocktail topped with sugared cranberries. While you're there, stock up on locally-made spirits to add some cheer to your holidays – and check off those folks on your gift list that have been good this year!

Lonesome Dove's Miracle on Central Street

With a name this good, you know the cocktail is going to be a classic! Stop by the Social Dove Patio at Lonesome Dove for a Miracle on Central Street. Sip on this holiday cocktail fireside as you enjoy small bites from the kitchen. If you'd rather enjoy it fireside in the comfort of your home, this yummy cocktail is available for takeout.

Oliver Royale's The Blitzen

Enjoy dinner or weekend brunch in the romantic, holiday atmosphere at Oliver Royale with a choice of specialty cocktails, including this year's Peppermint Trail treat named after one of Santa's reindeer – The Blitzen! Chesapeake's Peppermint Swirl

The Peppermint Swirl at Chesapeake's is an interesting and beautiful cocktail perfect to pair with their seafood this holiday season!‚Äč The pretty cocktail is made of Conundrum Sparkling Rosé, Vanilla Vodka, White Crème de Menthe Liquor, a splash of grenadine, and garnished with a candy cane. Ho! Ho! Ho!

J.C. Holdway's Avoiding the In-Laws

J.C. Holdway is wrapping up peppermint and liquors for a special holiday treat that some of y'all are going to really need! The humorous cocktail Avoiding the In-Laws will have Vodka, Cointreau, Peppermint, and Chocolate Syrup for a sweet before or after dinner treat. Or maybe both, depending on your in-laws! And if you're stuck at home with them, no worries – this cocktail, plus Eggnog and Meet Me at the Punch Bowl are available for takeout.
