See the Winter Mural | 2023-2024

The Downtown Knoxville mural signals a change in the season, and we're so excited to bring you the latest edition!

Artist Megan Lingerfelt finds inspiration in nature, and when she stumbled upon one of the few blooming plants in winter—witch hazel, also known as "winter bloom"—she knew it was the perfect fit for this season’s mural in #StrongAlley. The icy blue background makes way for vibrant, golden branches of the witch hazel plant.

The 2023-2024 winter mural—part of Dogwood Arts' Art in Public Places Mural Program—is the 17th in the series by Megan. 

The seasonal mural serves as a fun photo backdrop for both residents and visitors celebrating the changing seasons. It's located at the south end of Strong Alley, between Market Square and Gay Street (near local-favorite Coffee & Chocolate).
