The dark days of winter may be here, but you’d never know it strolling through the Sweetheart Walk and Krutch Park, where festive lights are still aglow and love is in the air.
We’ve dreamed up all sorts of delightful insta-worthy spots where you can celebrate the holiday and take pics with your inner circle. Show your loved ones exactly how you feel—and if you feel a proposal coming on, we encourage you to get carried away! Bring your BFFs, your kids, or a special someone to feel connected to the beating heart of our city.
More than 30,000 red and white lights added winter magic to Peppermint Grove in Market Square, and have now been transformed in our Sweetheart Walk. Discover sparkles along pathways and waterways in Krutch Park from Market Square to Gay Street. You'll find Valentine additions for memory-making photos in several locations from February 1 through February 28:
♥️ 1. Sweetheart Walk – The iconic red and white trees now feature hanging, twinkling hearts that dazzle.
♥️ 2. Love Letter Mailbox – This one-of-a-kind mailbox by artist Paris Woodhull is a drop-off for love letters to Knoxville.
♥️ 3. Old Soul Young Heart – Beautiful red rose mural by artist Megan Lingerfelt brings some romance to the alley by the Oliver Hotel.
♥️ 4. Follow Your Heart – Snap photos at a larger-than-life Valentine at the Knoxville Chamber on Market Square.
♥️ 5. Lover's Nightscape – Downtown Knoxville is adorned with thousands of sparkles and lights to illuminate your path.
Enjoy beautiful storefronts, streetscapes, and the charm of Downtown Knoxville. And a big shout-out to Dogwood Arts and the City of Knoxville for their support to help bring these beautiful installations to our city streets.
