Trick or Treat on the Square

🎃 Bring your little ghouls and goblins downtown on Friday, October 31 for a fun and FREE night of trick-or-treating! Shops, restaurants, and businesses on Market Square and along Union Avenue will hand out candy from 4–8 PM. Kids can also meet some of their favorite characters, including Disney princesses, superheroes, and more!

💛 Pick up a free trick or treat tote bag while supplies last! Stop by the Downtown Knoxville table at 17 Market Square (between Kabuki and Not Watson’s) to claim yours and start collecting candy!

🍬 Follow the trail of giant candy corns along Market Square and Union Avenue! Each candy corn marks a stop on the trick-or-treat trail. If you see a candy corn, that means the business has treats waiting inside — no tricks!

🍎 No candy? No problem! We know some little monsters have dietary restrictions or can’t have candy — and that’s okay! Our participating businesses will have fun, non-candy treats and surprises available to make sure everyone can join in the Halloween fun.

🧙‍♀️ Meet your favorite characters! All evening long, you’ll find the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus, Wednesday Addams, your favorite superheroes, Disney princesses, and even Glinda and Elphaba. Don’t forget to snap a photo with your favorites!

🎯 Play games and have some fun! Stop by the center of Market Square for family-friendly games and activities, including cornhole, Jenga, and more spooky surprises throughout the evening. Plus, while you’re out and about downtown, join in on our Cool Cat Scavenger Hunt or our Costume Contest for a chance to win some spooktacular prizes!
