Food & Drink Shop

Darken the doors of our downtown shops, bars, and restaurants and you’ll find a treasure trove of Halloween treats and specials—to enjoy for yourself or share with the ghosts and goblins you love.

Chivo Taqueria

Chivo has two creepy cocktails up their sleeves! They've created a Wicked Cool Halloween special, the Poison Apple with Espolon reposado, lemon juice, Mast General Store's spiced apple cider, and a cinnamon sugar rim. And always on the menu, the Chupacabra is a margarita with jalapeno-infused tequila, lime, and agave, named after a blood-sucking mythical creature. It's spicy, refreshing, and just a little creepy.

Citifid-O

Your pets can get in on the Halloween excitement too! Citifid-O has lots of plush toys and edible treats for dogs and cats. Naturally, they're going to like all of them, but human favorites are these adorable pumpkins stuffed with a couple of cute bats! Plus they have gravestones, Halloween donuts, candy corn, and lots of costumes that will make your pet the life of the party.

Coffee & Chocolate

The "chocolate" in Coffee & Chocolate just turned DARK. The Spooky S'more, pictured here, is a hand-painted milk chocolate shell filled with marshmallow, white chocolate, and graham cracker. Scarily delicious! They also have a Mysterious Maple with white chocolate ganache infused with maple; a Petrifying Pear & Fig Jam; and a Dangerously Delicious Dark Chocolate Tahini Macaron.

Cruze Farm

Scarify your Cruze Farm treat with spiders, ghosts, and Halloween sprinkles. The kids will love it, but we think you will too! It's some extra Wicked Cool fun for your extra sweet dessert.

Earth To Old City

Add that extra touch to your costume this year with a spider headband from Earth to Old City. It's just the right amount of cute and creepy. The shop has a ton of Halloween treats, including pumpkin, Frankenstein, skull, and witch hat earrings, plus jack-o-lantern and all kinds of Halloween soaps.

You can also find copies of "Lost Tales of Scruffy City," by local author Scott West, concentrating on creepy themes and the weird and darker side of Knoxville history.

Eddie's Health Shoppe

Long-lasting energy to keep you going Halloween night! Alani Nu’s limited-batch, seasonal Witch’s Brew™ Energy has arrived at Eddie's Health Shoppe! This cult-favorite flavor is an enchanting fusion of sour green apples and subtle, sweet drizzles of caramel. Also try RAZE™ Voodoo flavor – rapid hydration without a crash.

Fat Tuesday

Fat Tuesday's world-famous daiquiris hail from the raucous city of New Orleans, known for its hauntings of ghosts, spirits, and vampires. This Halloween, the Gay Street store is casting a spell on us all with Swamp Water, Vampire Kiss, Monster Mash, and Spellbound.

Fizz

You're not going to believe the selection of wickedly cool jewelry you'll find at Fizz on Market Square. Spider necklaces, monster-eye rings, skull-and-crossbone bracelets, skeleton cameos; they know how to bring the fear-factor to jewelry.

The French Market Crepes

No tricks, all sweets here! The French Market Creperie has created an entire menu of Wicked Cool crepes, like the Creepy Caramel with Nutella and Butterfingers (don't steal your kid's candy; just order this), the Booberry Blueberry with marshmallows, the Pumpkin Spice Cream, and the Creep Up – adding gummy worms to a sweet crepe – the kids will love it!

Cocktails at The French Market

There's no other way to say it ... The French Market Creperie has some scary good cocktails for the 21+ crowd. The Bloody Zombie, a spicy Bloody Mary with a pickled egg eyeball; Sweeney Todd's Dark & Stormy with spicy rum, ginger ale and ginger syrup; the Devil's Sour with bourbon, spiced cider and fresh orange juice; the Wicked Hot Fireball with spiced cider, cinnamon, and a cinnamon sugar rim; and the Purple Bat with Empress blue gin, sprite, and jelly beans. Kids don't have all the fun.

Whether you're bowling the lanes at Maple Hall or lounging upstairs in the Maple Room, order up Release the Bats, a dark and delicious drink made with Wheatley vodka, activated charcoal, blackberry syrup, and lemon juice; topped with a plump blackberry. It may sound scary, but it's only delicious!

Mast General Store

Mast General Store has a bunch of Fall and Halloween items, so head to Gay Street to check it all out. Grab a copy of "A Haunted History of Knoxville" to learn the darker history of our city and display in your home during this time of year. They also have skeleton aprons and spider and cobweb tea towels that will make baking Fall treats that much more fun.

Merchants of Beer

Watch out for the Purple People Eater, a refreshingly tart drink made with Ghost Tequila, strawberry and blackberry purées, cranberry juice and ginger beer. It's a delightful cocktail from Merchants of Beer in the Old City! And, they always have exceptional seasonal brews on tap and in their Grab-N-Go Market.

Nama Sushi

In honor of spooky season, meet the Corpse Reviver #135. Originally created with the chief purpose of "rousing the drinker from the dead," this wicked cocktail of Roku gin, grand marnier, fuki plum wine, and absinthe is Nama Sushi's take on the Corpse Reviver #2, which came on the scene in 1930. Beware!

Old City MedSpa

So, how about using your own blood for a beauty treatment? Seems like the perfect time of year! Old City MedSpa is offering discounts on Vampire Facials, which infuse your own platelet rich plasma (PRP) into the skin to reveal a younger, smoother and brighter complexion. Want to know more? This Halloween season, they are conjuring up visions of Knoxville’s beloved culinary past by putting a new twist on some classic K-Town favorites. It's sure to be spooky and maybe a little spicy!

PostModern Spirits

Boozy, bold, and a little wicked; PostModern Spirits' seasonal cocktails can bring the dead back to life. The Snake Juice combines two of their house-made liqueurs, the Subrosa Liqueur and Amaro Alpino with Fall flavors of cranberry and rosemary. Plus their patio is the pefect place to enjoy an afternoon cocktail, or a séance in the Old City!

Pretentious Glass Co

Odds are, you're familiar with Pretentious Glass Co's handblown pumpkins, and this year, they've created something more sinister – a Metallic Skull Mug to sip your wicked brews. This creepy pint glass boasts a bright red skull above the handle. Every part of the glass is handmade in the Old City.

Proper Popcorn

This season, grab a bag of Spooky Mix, Zombie Mix, or the festive and fun Candy Corn Mix from Proper Popcorn in Market Square. Our personal favorite is the Zombie Mix made of their grape, orange, and green apple candied popcorn. It's a huge hit!
